At this time, all the available Voluntary Stewardship Program (VSP) cost-share funding has been allocated. This was capital funding provided by the legislature to the State Conservation Commission (SCC) for fiscal year 2023-25.
To date, 90 best management projects have been awarded funding. Projects can continue to be entered into the SCC’s Conservation Practice Database System (CPDS), but the VSP capital funding review committee will suspend meetings until funding becomes available again.
When more funding is available, SCC will notify VSP stakeholders through notices on the VSP webpage and in the VSP newsletter. At that time, the VSP capital funding review committee will resume reviewing and scoring cost-share projects entered into CPDS.
As a reminder, as funding is limited, the higher your project scores the more likely it will be awarded funding. Please review the VSP capital funding guidelines for the required criteria and the supplemental criteria that will garner the most points.
